There will soon be no more shortages of medicine, according to the Health Ministry 

Discover the latest update from the Sri Lanka Ministry of Health, expressing optimism that medicine shortages will soon be resolved, with funding secured for importing necessary medical supplies. While there is a deficiency of 186 different kinds of medicines, the Minister assures that these medications will also be imported in due course.

The Sri Lanka Ministry of Health has expressed optimism that the current medication shortages experienced by hospitals across the country will be resolved within the next month and a half.

The Minister of Health, Keheliya Rambukwella, stated that they have obtained the necessary funding to import medical supplies.

In addition, the Minister stated that there are currently sufficient quantities of fourteen vital drugs.

Nevertheless, the Minister emphasised that there is a deficiency of another 186 different kinds of medicines throughout the country.

These medications, according to Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, would also be imported as soon as it is feasible to do so.
