Libya is one nation that has been beleaguered by the COVID-19 crisis. The resources are scarce in the country and authorities are clearly struggling with the range and scope of the pandemic.
As a measure of support and solidarity towards Libyan health authorities, the UNHCR a few days ago distributed five fully equipped prefabricated units to the public healthcare stations in Zawiya, Benghazi and Derna.
The assimilation of these prefabs in the public healthcare system means that there will be extra space for reception of patients, triaging of cases, examination of patients as well as testing for COVID-19 on an efficient scale.
