On Tuesday, the government decided to add monkeypox to the list of infectious diseases for which all medical professionals must report any fresh case to authorities. After the discovery of the country's first confirmed case of monkeypox, the move aims to lay the groundwork for the implementation of a contact tracing protocol and other epidemiological procedures. The country affirmed its 2nd monkeypox case today. Both infected had travelled to Spain.
