Singapore reported 2,551 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total to 1,295,920, according to the ministry of health.

There were 2,448 cases of local transmission and 103 cases of imported transmission. Among these local cases, 263 were detected using PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 2,185 using ART (antigen rapid test), according to Xinhua News Agency, citing Ministry of Health statistics.

There are currently 334 cases in hospitals, with nine in intensive care units.

According to the Health Ministry, no new deaths have been reported, bringing the total death toll to 1,383.

Earlier on Saturday, 3,323 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, bringing the total to 1,293,369.

The new cases included 3,244 local transmissions and 79 imported cases.

According to Ministry of Health statistics, 329 local cases were detected using PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 2,915 using ART (antigen rapid test) tests.
