The Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs Ministry reported 66 fresh COVID-19 cases today, Tuesday, June 8, 2022

On June 7, 2022, Monday, these tests were selected from a total of 206 samples, 179 from Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited, and  27 of which came from the Ezra Long Laboratory. 



The percentage of Covid positive cases contributes to around 32 per cent of all tests conducted on that day.



With the addition of these additional cases, the total tally of cases diagnosed in the nation is now 26,316.  90 people who had been COVID-19 positive were also confirmed to have recovered.



As of now, there are 468 active cases throughout the nation and there are eighteen positive patients undergoing treatment in the Respiratory Hospital and three of those are seriously ill.

Around 54, 052 people have received two shots so far, and 5, 341 people have only got one shot of the vaccine, while 7, 507 people got the booster injection.



Immunization will continue at different Wellness Centers tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8, 2022, according to the announced COVID-19 schedule for vaccination. 



From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., vaccines will be accessible. As new information becomes available, the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs will resume providing daily updates.
