The governor of the northern province recently participated in a meeting with authorities from Laos to go over preparations that will be made for the reopening of four border posts in Laos on May 18.

The provincial hall in Bokeo, which is located in Laos, had a visit from the group led by the governor of Chiang Rai, Passakorn Boonyalak. Following the decision made by the Thai government to relax COVID-19 regulations, officials from that country's administration met with Chomsee Rattanaban, the head of the Bokeo People's Council, to discuss the possibility of reopening the border.
