The Department of Health (MINSA) announced a modest increase in covid-19 illnesses in its monthly report on Monday.

The most current report, which refers to the time from May 31 to June 7, lists 59 cases, eight more than the previous report, which lasted roughly from May 24 to May 31.

Regardless of the fact that MINSA really hasn't declared the Omicron version to be present in Nicaragua, the Pan American Health Commission (PAHO) verified in mid-February that the nation has occurrences of this variation, with women accounting for the bulk of illnesses.

The medical authorities have not documented a rise in coronavirus infections since the latter three months of 2021, when it peaked at 718 confirmed instances in September.
