Morocco Sees Jump In COVID-19 Cases Reporting 425 Fresh Cases In 24 Hours

The ministry of Health and Social Protection reported 425 new COVID-19 infections in Morocco over 24 hours with 167 COVID-19 patients recovering during the same period.

According to the ministry's daily report, 24,835,453 have gotten the first COVID-19 shot, while 23,316,903 have gotten 2 shots. Also, 6,442,865 individuals have gotten a third booster shot.

The total COVID-19 infections since the virus' emergence has risen to 1,169,482 and recoveries have surpassed 1,151,196, (98.4 percent recovery rate).

The geographical distribution of the fresh COVID-19 cases are as follows; Draâ-Tafilalet (01), Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (01), Guelmim-Oued Noun (02), Beni Mellal-Khenifra (04), the Oriental (06), Souss-Massa (10), Fez-Meknes (15), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (18), Marrakech-Safi (56), Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (128), and Casablanca-Settat (184).

The number of coronavirus-linked deaths has decreased to 16,078 (1.4 percent fatality rate), with no new cases in the period of the report.

The number of active infections has risen to 2,208 in the past 24 hours, and no critical or severe incident has been registered during that time.
