The World Health Organization's Regional Director for Europe, Dr. Hans Kluge, was present at a meeting of Central Asian health ministers held at Turkmenistan's Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office in Geneva.

High-level government leaders from Central Asian countries attended the meeting.

The development and promotion of the One Health concept in the Central Asian region, regional health efforts of Central Asian countries, and the Central Asian Health and Well-Being Roadmap 2022-2025 were among the issues and areas of cooperation discussed during the meeting.

Hans Kluge, the Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, reaffirmed his support for Central Asia as a priority region, particularly in the joint preparation and execution of the Central Asia Health and Well-Being Roadmap 2022–2025.

The Roadmap, which has a large health component, is expected to be accepted by Central Asian authorities.
