Kolivand made these remarks during a meeting with G.M.V. Wishwanath Aponsu, Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran. He noted that the IRCS is able to deliver relief after analyzing Sri Lanka’s medical needs, which is in keeping with the high humanitarian goals that the IRCS has.

In the event that the government of Sri Lanka identifies a requirement and suggests a location for the delivery of services, the IRSC is able to send its health team, which is comprised of volunteer medical personnel, to a destitute region of the country for a period of time in order to provide patients with consultations, medicines, and other forms of medical care.

For his part, the Sri Lankan envoy Aponsu stated that Iran is a manufacturer of medical equipment and medications, and he urged the IRSC to work together with Sri Lanka.
