Since the beginning of last week, the number of Covid infections has been steadily climbing due to noncompliance with the established health norms. According to the Directorate General of Health Services, the rate of infections has risen to 6%, up from 1% previously.

In the meantime, the National Technical Advisory Committee (NTAC) on Covid-19 issued a press release on Wednesday (June 15) in which it encouraged the hospital administration to have beds and  ICUs ready in order to handle the increased number of Covid infections.

In recent years, the nation has seen an increase in the number of people infected with Covid-19. In light of this circumstance, a directive has been issued to ensure that patients affected by Covid-19 receive the appropriate treatment by maintaining ready access to hospital beds and intensive care unit space, according to the announcement.

People have been asked to wear face masks at all times when they are outside of their homes, to implement a “no mask, no service” policy, to keep a social distance from one another, and to avoid attending public gatherings because the number of coronavirus cases has increased across the country, according to the statement.
