On June 1, Children’s Day, a free dental fissure sealing action for children aged 6 to 14 will be organised in Kyrgyzstan. The Public Foundation Initiative 20/80 stated this.
If the treatment option becomes available, several dental clinics in Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Karakol will provide it.
The campaign’s purpose is to increase the number of individuals who see dentists by educating the public about techniques to prevent tooth decay, such as fissure sealing and appropriate oral hygiene.
Both 2019 and 2021 had events that were very similar. 497 children received free fissure sealants for all 987 of their teeth over the course of two years.
