Abdukholik Amirzoda, Tajikistan's Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection, said at the panel that water is crucial for health and infection prevention.

He explained, "Our government recently passed the National Health Strategy for 2021-2030, which places a strong emphasis on improving water, sanitation, and hygiene."

Despite the fact that the Nation's Leader, Emomali Rahmon, stated at the Conference's opening ceremony that "the international community has not yet taken the necessary measures to mitigate the effects of climate change and adapt to it," the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection stated again that "the international community has not yet taken the necessary measures to mitigate the effects of climate change and adapt to it." The integration of KOVID-19 has generated a new threat. Naturally, during this time, every government on the earth has concentrated all of its resources and energies on resolving the situation. However, we must never lose sight of the reality that the issue of water must always be a top priority due to its critical relevance.

"Today in Tajikistan, all employees of the Ministry of Health and all of its subdivisions are concerned about sanitary and hygienic norms, drinking water supply, and sanitation, and the State Health Control and Social Protection Service is housed within the Ministry," Abdukholik Amirzoda stated.

"Although, KOVID-19 is not registered in Tajik society as efforts are always made to provide drinking water, sanitation, and cleanliness," he continued, "however, the state's, administration's, and health experts' dedication is vital in order to prevent the pandemic and fulfil today's goals."

The Second International High-Level Conference on Water for Sustainable Development 2018-2028 drew about 2,000 dignitaries, legislators, scientists, specialists, government officials, the United Nations and its agencies, and international organisations. Both physically and virtually, women and young people, as well as financial institutions, academia, and civic society, are all enrolled.

The Dushanbe Conference will serve as a precursor to the United Nations Conference on the Interim Review of the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028," which will take place in New York in March 2023 and will be chaired by Tajikistan and the Netherlands. The New York Conference will be historic not just in terms of time (it will be the first in nearly 50 years), but also in terms of outcome, as it will represent a turning point in the acceleration of action to achieve water goals.
