In a pioneering move to address the projected nursing shortage and healthcare talent needs in New York City, Northwell Health, the city's largest healthcare provider and private employer, is teaming up with New York City Public Schools and Bloomberg Philanthropies to establish a career-focused high school. The Northwell School of Health Sciences, located in Woodside, Queens, is set to open its doors in fall 2025 and will serve about 900 students at full capacity.
