Health analyst says - under 50% of Ghanaian health workers are fully vaccinated

Less than 50% of Ghanaian health workers are fully vaccinated, reveals health analyst. Increasing infections in the country pose a challenge for the government to persuade the population to follow safety guidelines. With below 50% vaccination rate among healthcare workers, the nation must focus on strengthening the health system to overcome current challenges.

Mr. Arthur made this revelation in an interview with Starr, showing increasing infections in the West African nation means it will be a herculean task for the government to persuade the populace to embrace safety guidelines.

“Prior to the President’s guideline proclamation, about 70 percent of the population did not obey the procedure. So, it simply means that the guidelines are not helpful in curbing the dissemination of the virus.

“We are dealing with human lives here, currently, the community we are sensitizing nurse personal COVID-19 delusions. And it is a constant struggle to convince people to get vaccinated,” Mr. Arthur explained.

Furthermore, he said, “There was a sudden discovery that we could return to our normal lives. However, we have already been informed from the minister of health’s previous demonstrations that COVID will likely never be eradicated and we should look for means to co-exist with it.

“I took some statistics from the Internet that healthcare workers, the doctors, and healthcare providers and all other staff in the health sector have below 50% vaccination rate. So, are we really serious about fighting the virus?”

Mr. Arthur posited that Ghana must put more effort into creating a robust health system that is responsive to steer the nation out of the current health problems.
