The government of the European nation will start recognizing Bharat Biotech’s COVID-19 vaccine for travel purposes from June 1, according to the German ambassador to India and Bhutan, Walter J Lindner.

“I’m delighted that the GER government has just decided to accept WHO-listed Covaxin for trips to Germany beginning June 1! This Embassy has been pushing for a favorable decision (because of Covid-backlogs visa sections have extended waiting times than usual, please have patience)” Lindner wrote in a tweet.

In November of last year, the World Health Organization suggested that Covaxin be designated an Emergency Use Listing (EUL) reputation. Several nations, including Canada, Japan, and Australia, allow passengers vaccinated with Covaxin into their borders.
