From June 1, Germany will accept Covaxin for travel

Germany to Recognize Covaxin for Travel from June 1: Germany will start acknowledging Bharat Biotech's Covaxin as a valid COVID-19 vaccine for travel purposes, according to the German ambassador to India and Bhutan. This decision comes after the World Health Organization's designation of Covaxin as an Emergency Use Listing (EUL) reputation. Various countries, including Canada, Japan, and Australia, already accept Covaxin vaccinated individuals into their borders.

The government of the European nation will start recognizing Bharat Biotech's COVID-19 vaccine for travel purposes from June 1, according to the German ambassador to India and Bhutan, Walter J Lindner.

“I'm delighted that the GER government has just decided to accept WHO-listed Covaxin for trips to Germany beginning June 1! This Embassy has been pushing for a favorable decision (because of Covid-backlogs visa sections have extended waiting times than usual, please have patience)” Lindner wrote in a tweet.

In November of last year, the World Health Organization suggested that Covaxin be designated an Emergency Use Listing (EUL) reputation. Several nations, including Canada, Japan, and Australia, allow passengers vaccinated with Covaxin into their borders.
