In recent days, Fiji has recorded 57 new COVID-19 cases, carrying the number of total COVID instances in the South Pacific Island nation to over 64,000.
According to the Fiji village news website, Fiji’s Health Ministry confirmed on Tuesday that the 57 new COVID-19 cases reported since last Friday, 20 were reported in the country’s central region, 33 in the western region, and four in the northern region.
Fiji, which confirmed its first COVID instances in March 2020, and was, recorded 862 COVID-related deaths.
