Over the weekend, Ethiopia reported 1,033 new cases of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and one death.
There were more than 10,000 confirmed cases of the Coronavirus on Saturday and Sunday.
To far, there have been 475,012 Covid-19 cases reported.
Health officials estimate that 456,181 persons have recovered from acute respiratory illness.
The number of people with active cases has risen to 11,314 due to fewer people recovering and an increase in the number of people getting sick. 14 people are currently in critical condition.
There have now been 7,515 Covid-19 deaths.
Covid rules, including wearing face masks in crowds, should be followed by the public, according to health experts.
According to reports, the rate of immunization hasn’t slowed down.
It was in March 2021 when Covid was made available to Ethiopians. 29.41 doses have been administered nationwide since then.
An estimated 24.5 million Ethiopians, according to the results of the poll, have received all of their recommended vaccinations.
After evaluating the results of the last two immunization campaigns, health officials plan to conduct a third in June.
