KAZIJNFORM – ROME, The health ministry said Monday that there have been 8,512 new instances of COVID-19 throughout Italy in the previous 24 hours, with 70 additional victims of the virus.

On Sunday, there were 15,082 new cases and 27 new victims.

75,010 additional tests had been performed, compared to 123,699 on Sunday.

The percentage of those who are positive has increased from 12.1 percent to 20.1 percent.

Intensive care cases have decreased by one to 217, while hospital admissions have increased by 42 to 4,453.

The current positive number is 631,348, down 10,079 from Sunday.

The number of people who have been recovered and discharged has increased by 18,625 since Sunday.

Since the outbreak began, there have been 17,514,589 cases and 167,019 deaths.
