Re-vaccination against Covid-19 will be covered by public health insurance in the Czech Republic at least this fall, Health Minister Vlastimil Válek stated. The best period for a booster dose is from late August to mid-October. The Health Ministry is discussing the acquisition of more vaccinations that may be acquired collectively for the EU, he said. The most hazardous time is from end-October to February, thus risk groups should be completely vaccinated by mid-October, said Válek. Chronically unwell and those over 55 should be re-vaccinated, he suggested. Some large immunisation facilities that don’t need reservations may reopen.
