According to the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, the country recorded 29 more Covid-19 fatalities and 4,837 new cases in the previous 24 hours (CCSA).

There were 6,380 positive antigen test results from the preceding 24 hours missing from Thursday's data. The overall number of persons would rise to 11,217.

In contrast, the day before, there were 37 coronavirus-related deaths and 4,924 new cases reported.

On Thursday, 46,205 patients (down from 46,595 the day before) were receiving Covid-19 treatment, with 18,829 of them in hospitals (down from 19,155). 6,056 people were in field hospitals facilities (up from 5,949), while 21,069 people were isolated at home or in the neighbourhood (up from 5,949). (Down from a high of 21,230).

At the hospital, there were 979 extremely ill patients with lung inflammation (down from 995), with 493 on ventilators (down from 503).

The city with the most critically ill patients was Bangkok (102), followed by Ubon Ratchathani (65), Nakhon Ratchasima and Udon Thani (48), and Samut Prakan (40).

After healing, 5,198 people were released from hospitals in the same 24-hour period.

The 29 people who perished, according to the CCSA, varied in age from 21 to 94 years old, with one Myanmar national among them.

Two new deaths have been reported in Bangkok, while two more have been recorded in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand's neighbouring province.

Six individuals perished in other central plains provinces, including five in Lop Buri and one in Rayong, which are located further away from the capital.

In the north, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Phrae, and Uttaradit all reported four deaths.

In Nakhon Ratchasima, four persons were slain, with two each in Loei, Udon Thani, Roi Et, and Ubon Ratchathani, as well as one each in Nong Bua Lam Phu, Sakon Nakhon, and Si Sa Ket.

In the South, there were no new deaths.

Among the 4,837 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, there were 4,829 cases in the general public, four cases among jail inmates, and four imported cases.

In hospitals, 4,821 additional infections in the general public were identified, with eight more confirmed by mass testing.

Bangkok continues to lead the way, with 1,986 cases each day, followed by 173 in Khon Kaen, 139 in Buri Ram, 115 in Nonthaburi, 112 in Chon Buri, 105 in Samut Sakhon, 93 in Maha Sarakham, 87 in Samut Prakan, 81 in Nakhon Ratchasima, and 78 in Chaiyaphum.

Since the outbreak began in early 2020, there have been 4,434,511 Covid-19 cases, including 2,211,076 this year, with 4,358,396 complete recoveries.

The pandemic has claimed the lives of 29,910 people, with 8,212 of them dying this year.

The number of Covid-19 cases globally climbed by 567,240 in just 24 hours, increasing the total to 530.31 million. The global death toll rose by 1,427 to 6.30 million people. The United States had the most cases and deaths, with 85.57 million cases (up 87,420) and 1.03 million deaths (up 217).
