Philippines logs 1,295 new COVID-19 cases
More than a thousand new cases were recorded from May 30 to June 5, 2022, a 1.4 percent drop from the previous week’s total of 1,295 cases.
Weekly case reports from the Department of Health and Human Services show that 185 cases were handled daily over the course of a week. There were 1,317 new infections of COVID-19 from May 23 to May 29, a slight decrease from the previous week’s total of 188 cases.
In addition, the hospital is currently dealing with 599 cases of severe and critical COVID-19.
Out of the 2,632 ICU beds available, 386 were occupied, or 14.7% of the total. 1.81 percent occupancy rate was recorded for 4,031 of the 22,245 non-ICU COVID-19 beds.
Sixteen new severe or critical cases emerged during the study period.
