Liechtenstein eases COVID testing facilities, but warns that pandemic is not over yet
From last Monday Liechtenstein did away with its road COVID-19 test center, in the Marketplatzgarage of Vaduz.
From last Thursday, June 2, COVID-19 tests were conducted in the new site in Wille.
Testing will remain closed on Wednesdays and Sundays, whereas testing will happen between 2 and 5 pm on the rest of the days. People who have symptoms of COVID 19 will continue to be tested at the state’s expense.
If the person is asymptomatic and gets tested, he/she will be charged for the laboratory costs of the test.
There is no need for pre-registration for getting a COVID-19 test done.
Even though the infection rates for COVID19 are low at the moment, it does not mean that the pandemic is over. If you have survived previous waves of the coronavirus without getting affected, it is not guaranteed that you will not get infected later.
The Liechtenstein government recommends that all citizens avail of the COVID 19 vaccines so that the chances of contracting long term COVID are lessened.
