Fauci positive for Covid, home quarantined

US President Joe Biden's main medical advisor, Anthony Fauci, tests positive for Covid and is currently in home quarantine. Despite having received both vaccine shots and 2 booster shots, Fauci will continue his work remotely. Known for his role as the head of the White House Covid task force during Trump's term, Fauci has faced both popularity and controversy for his stance on reopening the economy and implementing mask and vaccine mandates.

US President, Joe Biden’s main medical advisor, Anthony Fauci has been tested Covid positive after experiencing benign symptoms. According to NIH, Fauci didn’t have any close interactions with Biden recently. 


Fauci, 81, has taken both the vaccine shots and 2 booster shots as well. He will quarantine himself and will resume his work from home. 

Fauci’s popularity rose when he was the head of the White House Covid task force during Trump’s term. He has also been serving as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for a long time.  

Although Fauci was popular, he received backlash for this advice against opening up the economy and also from those who were against the masking and vaccine mandate.
