The Ministry of Health has reported an increase in COVID cases in recent weeks, with 43 new cases recorded in the most recent update.
Doctor James Fong, Permanent Secretary for Health, says 11 of the cases were reported on Tuesday, 12 on Wednesday, and 20 new cases in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Thursday.
Dr. Fong reports that the Central Division continues to have the most cases, with 22, followed by the Western Division with 13 and the Northern Division with eight.
Meanwhile, Fijiâs full immunization rate has been gradually increasing; though, more emphasis is being placed on those qualified for booster doses receiving them as soon as possible.
