Covid-19 has death counts of 29,130 people in Bangladesh, with no corona-related deaths reported in the 24 hours between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday. The Covid-19 death rate in the country is 1.49 percent.

The country's total number of Covid-19 patients has grown to 19 lakh 53 thousand 356 after the discovery of 28 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The detection rate is 0.65 percent. According to a regular press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday (May 26) about the Covid-19 situation in the country, 4,326 samples were analysed in government and commercial laboratories across the country from 8 a.m. on Wednesday to 8 a.m. on Thursday.

The country's total detection rate has been 13.85 percent since the Covid-19 outbreak in 2020. Bangladesh has analysed a total of 1 crore 41 lakh 602 samples thus far. Meanwhile, the country's total number of people recovered from Covid-19 has increased to 19 lakh 795, with 195 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours.
