The Health authority stated that Panama added 3,523 new cases of covid-19 and 3 fatalities from the illness on Monday, reaching a complete sum of recorded illnesses and mortality to 879,009 in much more than 2 years of the pandemic (Minsa).

There are 33 people in intensive care units (ICUs) and 263 on the wards who have been diagnosed with the coronavirus, while 26,248 people have been isolated at homes and 39 in motels.

Since February 9, 2020, just as the first outbreak began in Panamanian, where coronavirus has a death rate of 0.9 percent, another of the lowest in the Latin American region, 844,147 people had cured from the virus.

In the last day, 16,091 experiments were run to discover occurrences of covid-19, with a 21.9 percent positive rate.

In terms of vaccination success, the Department of Health's Accelerated Immunization Coverage (PAI) says that 8,263,667 doses of vaccinations against coronavirus have been administered in Panama since March 20, 2021.
