In its weekly COVID-19 statement and report for May 30-June 5, the Qatari Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) documented an average figure of 223 cases per day among locals and 23 cases per day among tourists. This was an increase from the previous week's statistics, which revealed 159 COVID-19 incidents per day in that region and 19 among tourists from May 23 to 29.

During the same course, the average figure for daily number of recoveries increased from 132 to 176. The following is a synopsis of the ministry's weekly statement for the week of May 30 to June 5.

COVID-19 cases

Every day, approximately 223 new cases are reported to the Qatari community. At this time, the daily average number of cases reported by visitors is 23. There are a total of 1,863 individual cases.

To date, 370,235 positive COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Qatar. This is the total number of confirmed cases.

Recovery efforts for COVID-19

Over the previous week, the daily average number of recoveries was 176, and a total of 367,695 people had recovered to this point. Currently, there are no patients in the ICUs in Qatar recovering from COVID-19 and related ailments to the viral disease.
