A sharper increase in new cases this week

The number of new cases is increasing for the 6th week in a row and much more markedly than the previous week.

7,924 new contaminations were recorded in the last 7 days, compared to 5,344 the week before.

With 2,209 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, the incidence rate increased by 32% compared to the previous week, when there were 1,490 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

10 more Covid patients are in the hospital, and 35 people are hospitalized in Covid medicine at the CHUM, compared to 25 7 days ago. 4 patients are still in critical care, stable compared to the previous week.

2 Covid-related deaths are to be deplored in hospitals over the period, 943 in all since the start of the pandemic in Martinique.

1 cluster is being monitored in a health facility, this is 1 less than the previous week.

Vaccination for 12 years and over

Number of people with a complete vaccination schedule: 143,557 or 45.4%

Number of people who received a booster dose (1st booster): 89,586 or 28.3%
