According to the Post, Japanese authorities are considering allowing Hong Kong visitors to visit the country without undergoing any testing or quarantine against Covid-19 as part of a broader tourism policy.

According to a source familiar with the situation, the country considers Hong Kong an important market and is looking to include the city on its "blue" list of regions, which grants visitors from those locations testing and quarantine exemptions when they arrive in Japan.

The Japanese government had previously stated that beginning June 1, countries and territories would be classified as "blue," "yellow," or "red." The scheme will classify locations based on coronavirus infection rates and positive test results.
