Brunei announced 271 additional Covid cases on Wednesday, bringing the country's total confirmed cases to 146,315.

In the last 24 hours, 267 ARTs and four RT-PCR tests were performed, totalling 267 cases.

There have been 0 Covid-19 fatalities reported in the previous 24 hours.

"There are no instances categorised as Category 5 requiring ICU, and there are no cases classified as Category 4 needing respiratory help and close monitoring," the minister said.

There have already been 144,387 instances those are well and in good health again, bringing the number of cases recovered to 330.

In the meantime, there are 1,707 active cases, 11 of which are being self-isolated and 1,696 of which are in hospitals.

On Friday, 59 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered to youngsters aged five to eleven, bringing the number of first-dose immunizations to 33,176, or 77.3 percent of the age group, according to Awang Halbi.

Kids in the similar age group received an additional 119 vaccination doses, carrying the total number of second shots to 14,307, or a 33.3 percent coverage rate.

Meanwhile, 69.2 percent of the country's citizens and residents have received three doses.
