The representatives of the Department of Disease Control and the Department of European Affairs attended the delivery of 1,266,000 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines from the Government of Denmark to the Royal Thai Government on May 26, 2022. H.E. Mr. Jon Thorgaard, Ambassador of Denmark to Thailand, represented his government at the event.

This time, the Kingdom of Denmark's gift is proof of Thailand's age-old friendship with Denmark, after the two nations jointly celebrated the 400th anniversary of Thailand's first connection with Denmark in 2021.

The project was made possible due to excellent coordination among the Statens Serum Institute Denmark, the Department of Disease Control, the Royal Danish Embassy, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The vaccines will be given to Thai citizens as well as foreigners in Thailand and along the country's borders.
