The Angolan President, Joao Lourenco unveiled a child and maternal hospital in Luanda having a capacity of 220 beds. This hospital unit has been named “Dr. Manuel de Menezes” and is located in Camama in the Belas municipality. The new hospital has an area of 40,484 sqm with a unit that is principally for assisted reproduction. 

This building has three blocks and has a delivery room, clinical emergency facilities, a department of gynecology and obstetrics, physiotherapy, pediatrics, surgery as well as physical rehabilitation. 

The hospital has a valuation of $179 million, and has a burns unit, an unit for respiratory therapy, clinical analysis labs, an unit for radio diagnosis and imaging. This hospital also has a morgue as well as a parking lot that can hold 520 vehicles.
