As part of the CONNECT project, the Ministry of Health's Department of Hygiene and Health Promotion is having a discussion about cooperating to improve Covid-19 vaccine coverage in northern Laos (Community Network Engagement for Essential Healthcare and COVID-19 Responses through Trust).

Deputy Governors from Phongsaly, Luang Namtha, Oudomxay, Luang Prabang, and Xayaboury, as well as health officers from crucial regions, will meet on June 2-3 in Luang Prabang Province.

Around 5.8 million people have been immunized against Covid-19, with 5.05 million obtaining all required doses, according to the Ministry of Health's Centre of Information and Education for Health.

Attendees at the conference also talked about creating an action plan to increase community participation in efforts to increase Covid-19 immunisation coverage.
