The Singaporean government’s Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on its website that the number of new Covid-19 cases in Singapore had risen to 4,985 as of Tuesday (May 31). As of Monday (May 30), 2,389 individuals had been diagnosed.

11 patients were in intensive care and 38 others required oxygen support out of the 330 patients hospitalized with Covid-19 on Tuesday. MOH reported that Covid-19 killed three persons.

There was a total of 4,774 new instances of local transmission.

Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays found 429 new local cases.

Antigen rapid testing (ART) was used to detect another 4,345 cases, which suggests that the patients had no symptoms, or their symptoms were minimal at the time of detection.

10 additional instances were found by PCR tests, while the remaining 200 were found through ART.

The weekly infection growth rate for Covid-19 was 0.82, down from 0.95 the previous day.

The ratio of recent community cases to those from the previous week is what we mean by the rate. Covid-19 instances are increasing at a rate greater than one per week.

Singapore has now documented 1,303,294 instances of Covid-19, with 1,389 deaths, as of Thursday’s latest update.
