May 22nd, Hanoi, Vietnam - Vietnam's Ministry of Health reported 1,319 new COVID cases on Sunday, down by 138 from the previous day.

The new diseases spread throughout 42 provinces and regions in the United States.

The hub for pandemic on Sunday was Hanoi, with 347 fresh cases reported, followed by northern Bac Ninh area with 138 and northern Vinh Phuc province with 90.

The illnesses resulted in a total of 10,708,887 infections as well as 43,075 fatalities. In roughly 88 percent of COVID-19 infections, patients have recovered.

According to the government, the country has received approximately 219 million doses of COVID-19 vaccination, with over 198.2 million shots administered to people aged 18 and up.

Each wave of coronavirus has grown in size, complexity, and infectiousness in Vietnam. The health ministry has reported around 10.7 million locally transmitted COVID-19 diseases since the current wave of illness began in April 2021.
