According to the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations, soldiers from Vietnam's Level-2 Field Hospital Rotation 4 have trained and provided medical assistance to Level-1 field hospitals on the epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of monkeypox in South Sudan.

The programme seeks to prepare medical staff with fundamental information and epidemiological abilities to help the health system respond to the disease in many nations, particularly Africa, where it was first found.

Vietnamese hospital soldiers participated in civil-military collaboration for training and creating more awareness about the diagnosis and treatment of monkeypox in the country.

The soldiers visited Unity State's Education Ministry to support local students. They also visited and gave gifts to Charles Kuot Primary School children. Students were also entertained with Vietnamese folk games.
