Vanuatu Covid Report: 114 new cases in 24 hours. Vanuatu has reported a total of 9,438 confirmed Covid cases this year, with an additional 114 cases in the past day. The highest number of cases are in PENAMA Province, followed by TAFEA Province and SHEFA Province. Ambae island has seen its first community infections since May, with ongoing investigations and monitoring. No hospitalizations have been reported at this time.

There have been 9,438 confirmed Covid cases in Vanuatu since the start of this year. In the last 24 hours, more than 114 new positive cases have been reported.  In addition to the earlier identified Covid positive district identified by the government during last month's report, there are also 18 additional cases in TAFEA Province (Tanna), 7 in SHEFA (Efate), 2 in TORBA Province (Vanua Lava), 86 in PENAMA Province (Ambae and Pentecost) and 1 in SANMA Province.

After reporting its first case on May 9, Ambae island subsequently reported its first community infections. Since May 29, 32 active cases have been identified. Case investigation and continued contact monitoring are underway.

During this time, no hospitalization is reported.
