Travel restrictions are being relaxed in popular tourist destinations in Tunisia in an effort to boost their tourism industry and welcome large numbers of foreign tourists again.
Rabat – The Tunisian government has decided that unvaccinated British tourists with a recent negative PCR test are welcome. Tunis announced the policy change on Friday, as governments compete to reduce health regulations in popular tourist destinations in order to attract new visitors.
Tunisia’s relaxation of public health measures is comparable to Morocco’s decision on May 18, which allowed unvaccinated visitors to enter the country if they could show proof of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of departure. Meanwhile, Egypt and Algeria continue to require proof of vaccination, but the international race to attract tourists may change this in the near future.
