The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center recently concluded a volunteered medical campaign in Niger to treat blindness and various eye related problems.
During the campaign in Maradi, the volunteer team performed 6,236 medical examinations and 407 surgeries. It also distributed 5,272 medicines and 1,000 pairs of glasses.
According to the agreement signed between KSrelief and Al-Basar International Foundation, the goal of the campaign was to provide medical treatment to people with eye diseases living in underdeveloped countries and in poor conditions.
Besides the campaign with the support and backing of KSrelief, the prosthetic limb and rehabilitation centre in Yemen's governorate of Hadhramaut further continues to provide medical services to the piblic.
In one month the center provided 1,435 services to 340 people, including the fabrication, fitting, delivery, and taking care of prosthetic limbs for 121 patients and l therapy and interacting sessions with the remaining 219 patients, among many similar treatments.
In addition, KSrelief is funding a nutrition project for children under the age of five, pregnant women, and nursing mothers in the Yemeni governorates of Lahij, Aden, Hodeidah, Taiz, Hajjah, Hadramout, and Marib.
While the project was started with the aim to provide nutritional therapy, healthcare, and counselling services, the challenge was tough to achieve the target of helping a large number of people. However, the project exceeded the public's expectations by helping 59,193 people.
The aforementioned services are the efforts of Saudi Arabiaâs, to lessen the anguish of Yemenis, particularly women and kids suffering from malnutrition in the midst of the current humanitarian crisis.
KSrelief completed, the third phase in Lebanon the Al-Amal Charitable Project at the governorate of Akkar and the district of Miniyeh.
20,000 loafs of bread are being distributed on a daily basis to needy Palestinian, Lebanese, and Syrian families in northern Lebanon, at a ratio of two loafs per household.
