After 203 additional infections in the last 24 hours, Romania now has 2,908,516 persons infected with the novel coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health will release new cases of illness, an updated mortality toll, and a county-by-county summary of the situation at 13.00. The most recent count shows a new death, bringing the total number of COVID deaths in Romania to 65,678. 548 COVID patients are currently hospitalized in Romanian hospitals, with 75 of them in Intensive Care, suffering from severe forms. 

Sixty-two of the 75 patients admitted to the ICU had not been immunized. There are 34 children among the total number of hospitalized patients, all of whom are inpatients, 9 more than the previous day, and none of whom are in intensive care units.
