HE Omar Mohamud Mohamed (Omar Filish), Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, has formally launched the Polio Prevention Campaign, which will be carried out across the capital city’s districts.
Governor Omar Filish gave a speech in which he emphasised the importance of polio immunisation and urged residents of the Banadir district to acquire the vaccine.
The polio vaccination is expected to be distributed throughout the Banadir Region, including its districts. A huge number of youngsters live in these districts, the bulk of whom have relocated from areas that are currently facing drought.
