Dr. Sharon Belmar-George,  Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of St. Lucia gave an update on overall health problems on Wednesday, including the COVID-19 status and the heightened risk of vector-borne infections during the monsoon rains. Belmar-George also said that no instances of monkeypox have been reported in Saint Lucia yet.



She did say, though, that the Island is keeping an eye on the worldwide situation. Saint Lucia has also intensified monitoring and put in place safeguards, according to the CMO.
