Syria - A polio vaccine campaign for children under the age of five will begin the following Sunday, according to the Ministry of Health.

The programme will run through the 9th of this month, according to a post on the ministry's Facebook page, and will be carried out by mobile teams and health clinics located throughout the governorates.

The effort aims to determine the immunisation status of around 2.7 million children spread across several governorates. According to the data, 100,000 children who have dropped out of the programme and are "almost not fully vaccinated" need to be vaccinated.
