In the past 24 hours, 2,976 new patients tested positive for Covid-19, according to the Ministry of Public Health, with three of them arriving in Thailand from abroad.

The death toll has risen by 32 people, with 4,238 people being cured and freed from hospitals.

There have been 2,237,121 incidents in the country since January 1, 2022.

In total, 4,460,556 persons in the country have been impacted by Covid-19; 4,395,545 have recovered, 34,898 are still in hospitals, and 30,113 have died.

Separately, another 10,635 people had their first Covid-19 shot, 25,655 got their second shot, and 52,735 got a booster shot in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses distributed nationally to 137,969,663.

Worldometer recorded 534.16 million confirmed cases, 505.08 million of whom have recovered, 22.76 million ongoing cases (36,678 in serious condition), and 6.32 million deaths as of Friday (up by 1,398).

After the United States (86.27 million), India (43.17 million), Brazil (31.1 million), France (29.57 million), and Germany (29.57 million), Thailand is placed 24th in the world in terms of the number of instances (26.47 million).
