These pseudo doctors are allegedly directing patients to private hospitals despite the presence of world-class equipment now available at public health facilities in the country.

During a visit to the MOI in Dar es Salaam recently, the Minister offered guidance and supervised the institute's workers to perform their responsibilities properly to improve healthcare services in the country.

She emphasized that hauling patients to private health establishments was "unacceptable."

"We will look into it... people come here expecting affordable testing and other medical procedures, only to be directed towards private institutions; we must minimize to relieve patients of their tasks," the Minister remarked.

Similarly, she instructed doctors not to leave patients at the facility without medication for an extended amount of time, instead of sending them home until convenient dates could be set.
