H.E. Eric Lavertu, the French Ambassador to Sri Lanka, met with Minister of Health Dr. Keheliya Rambukwella at the Ministry of Health to discuss a grant from the French government. The donation consists of 300,000 Euros worth of anaesthesia and respiratory drugs.

The French government is happy to help Sri Lanka in these trying circumstances, and the Ambassador restated his willingness to help with any acute medical requirements or drug shortages. The Minister expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador, the French Government, and the French people as he accepted the donation. He also claimed that he will not jeopardise the Health Sector's effectiveness, and that he will go to great measures to ensure that medicines and services are available when needed.
