Sputnik vaccine has no adverse reactions among children aged 9 to 11

Alexander Gintsburg, the director of the Gamaleya Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology in Russia developed the Sputnik V vaccine, said that children aged between 9-11 were vaccinated against the coronavirus with the Sputnik V shots. These children did not show any notable side effects. The Sputnik V vaccine was designed to protect against coronavirus.

Gintsburg stated while speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum for Sputnik, that "no significant side effects were observed among the 14 vaccinated children."

He went on to say that a panel of specialists would now decide whether or not the Russian vaccine could be used to protect children as young as six to eight years against the Covid-19 virus.

In August of 2020, Russia made history by becoming the first nation in the world to register a vaccine against coronavirus. This vaccine was given the name Sputnik V. In addition, the Russian Ministry of Health has approved a brand-new vaccine known as Sputnik M for adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17.

The Gamaleya research center was given the approval to carry out medical tests of Sputnik shots on children aged 6–11 at the end of January of this year.
