To support the Cancer patients of Samoa, the New Zealand High Commission has donated a total of 19,000 talas to the Samoa Cancer Society.
Su’a John Ryan, the CEO said that the donation was to help the Society purchase accessory such as supply colostomy bags for the patients.
Colostomy bags are used to collect feces by making a hole in the abdominal wall. He also added that this funding would provide free of charge service to a wide number of patients ranging from infants to the elderly. Su’a also thanked the New Zeland High commission for their generosity.
