The Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs Ministry verified 51 fresh positive Covid cases on late Saturday, June 4, 2022.
On Friday, June 3, 2022, these samples were chosen from 213 samples, including 28 from Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited and 185 from the Ezra Long Laboratory. The testing samples were obtained on June 2, 2022, and June 3, 2022.
Positive cases accounted for 23.9 per cent of all samples processed on that particular day. With these new instances, the total tally of diagnosed cases in Saint Lucia currently stands at 26,143.
It was also revealed that 183 patients who had been diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered.
There are now 663 active cases around the country. In the Respiratory Hospital, there are now nineteen COVID-19 positive patients, two of whom are critically ill and two of whom are severely ill.
So far, 54, 044 persons have received adequate immunisation. Another 5, 331 individuals were vaccinated with the first dose, and 7, 501 people had their booster dose.
According to the COVID-19 immunisation schedule, vaccination will continue at various Wellness Centers on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Vaccines will be offered from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
